Winter Wreath

How to make a Winter Wreath:

Tools:
Wooden wreath (or circular figure)
Wedding ribbon (has the positionable edges)
       White: 30 ft
       Blue: 10ft
Various decrative flowers, pearls, beads. Use different hights, sizes, and materials. Don't worry about how long, you can cut the pieces down to size.
4 large poinsetta flowers
Hot glue gun
Optional: wire cutters (most pieces you can use sissors).


Steps:
1. Wrap wooden wreath in white ribbon. Make sure ribbon is wrapped tightly around the wreath and overlapp the sides together. Add glue every 2-3wraps. Make sure to cut or break off parts of the wreath that point out or make it difficult to wrap.

 

2. Add base flowers. Stagger flowers around the wreath. Don't worry too much about bare spaces, you can go back and add oriniment later. I had the flowers go in one direction, but you can go any direction you want. A little glue goes a long way. Choose the main stem on the flowers and only glue that. You want the outter parts of the flower open to be moved and positioned.

 



 

3. Add orniment! Cut the objects' stem to desired length. Make sure to leave enough stem to tuck it in the orginial flowers. Weave objects throughout the flowers. Make sure to glue down each object. Also, while adding orniment, check all the orginial flowers to make sure they were glued down enough.

 

 

4. Glue large flowers on the bottom corner (3 red and 2 white pictured here). Next, make the snow flake using blue ribbon. Loop ribbon multiple times, gluing in the middle every 1-2 loops. Keep looping in multiple directions until you achieve the desired look. Next, go through the snow flake and add glue as needed. Then, glue a batch of flowers or some decoration in the middle of the snow flake; then add to wreath. Lastly, glue some ribbon to the back of the wreath to hang it from the door. Wait at least two hours for glue to set completely before hanging.

 

Last, hang and enjoy!
